Patrick Williams, supportive husband to Diane, helps with all the input and output of the horses. He fixes the fences and keeps the farm mowed and the gardens in tip top shape.
Diane Schoonmaker is owner / manager and instructor of Flying Change Farm. Diane began her riding with Pony Club and 4-H. In her youth, she was busy showing her horses throughout Ulster and Dutchess County. Diane was passionate for eventing and competed her well know Palomino Popcorn through the Preliminary level. Upon graduating from Cazenovia College with a degree in Equine Associates, she managed the stable at Mohonk Mtn. house. During this time she was also building her riding lesson program at her family farm, Saunderskill Farm located in Accord NY. Flying Change Farm was established in 1991 on the Airport Rd property. Diane is certified by the American Riding Instructors Association and was nominated as one of the top 50 riding instructors in 2006. Lesson horse Mosha was recognized as one of the top 50 lesson horses the same year. Educating all ages on the foundation of horsemanship skills, natural horsemanship skills and building the relationship between horse and rider is Diane's foremost goal.
Samantha Radliff, better know as just Sam at the barn. Sam teaches camps, helps run horse shows, works with the Wonderful Women, keeps lessons going smoothly on busy days, tends to all the farm chores and shares the feeding duties to give us a day off!! She wears lots of hats at the farm. Sam is a wonderful role model to all those that come to the farm.
